Our Practice Foot Specialists of Connecticut was founded in June 1996, by a group of three experienced podiatrists who maintain private practices throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut in the towns of Fairfield, Monroe, Shelton, Stratford, Norwalk and Westport. We maintain surgical privileges at several area hospitals and surgical centers. Our foot surgeons are board certified and are highly trained in all aspects of podiatry including reconstructive foot surgery, laser surgery, geriatric and pediatric foot care, diabetic foot care, foot injuries, sports medicine and biomechanics. This decade has seen many changes in health care which are influenced primarily by the insurance and managed care industry. While containing health care costs is an essential priority, we believe that it is important not to let this task intrude in the doctor-patient relationship which was fostered through years of podiatric practice, nor in the quality of care provided. Our goal is to be able to offer prompt, affordable and gentle high quality care without compromise. We believe that in today's competitive health care market, the best measure of success are the treatment results obtained. Foot Specialists of Connecticut was formed in part to allow five individual podiatrists to combine their years of practice experience to produce cost effective predictable and successful treatment outcomes in a more efficient yet comfortable office environment. Our podiatric physicians have served as consultants to insurance carriers and sports periodicals and have published in medical literature. Several members of our group have served on the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Podiatric Medical Association, and two are past presidents of the Fairfield County Podiatric Medical Association. Our offices participate in most major insurance plans. Collectively the podiatric physicians of the Foot Specialists of Connecticut regularly review their treatment outcomes, as measured by patient satisfaction. By determining the most efficacious treatment for a particular disorder, our group can provide efficient and cost effective care which is desirable to managed care organizations and patients alike.
